Maria Reardon
Maria paints the world around her. Working primarily in pastels, she loves being outdoors, immersed in the world, observing and experiencing everything going on around her. She’s drawn to the unique and ever-changing relationships of form and color.

Maria is a Virginia native ad received her formal education from Virginia Commonwealth University with a BFA in Illustration. She continued her studies by attending workshops with notable national artists including Daniel Greene, Albert Handell and Lorenzo Chavez. Her work has been exhibited throughout the Richmond area and is in private collections
In recent years she has dedicated herself to the pastel medium, primarily composed of plein air landscapes and portraiture from life. Her landscapes are scenes from many areas in Virginia and her ancestral home in Tuscany Italy. She also makes frequent painting travel trips where she paints landscapes on site.
